Sweetheart Heart Lock Bracelet
THE STORY
This restored Victorian bracelet from the late 1800s was known as a “Lover’s Bracelet” due to the lock clasp: a lock needs a key to open and close, therefore your significant other would likely have been the one to “hold the key”. This lover's bracelet heart-shaped padlock clasp was designed to open without a key--instead the top is hinged and opens with a pinch-clasp at the top.
Every element of this necklace is not only true and original to the era, but every link and component is hallmarked with a lion - tying the chain and metal to London, England. This bracelet was originally made and sourced in England
This antique sterling silver bracelet measures 7” in length, and the heart lock measures .5” in width with the original safety chain.
