Inherit a signet ring that's too big or has fragile enamel that can't be sized to continue wearing as a ring?

A lot of these rings can be hard to resize, and many end up in a drawer for years  - never worn again. With a lot of thought and intention, we're able to convert many of the designs in rings like these into wearable pendants - charms you can hold close and continue to pass down for years to come.

How it Works

Every project we take on is completely different.
We work with your existing pieces of jewelry to create an equally sentimental heirloom you can wear every day.
  • Our design process simply starts with your ideas and the piece itself. Some heirlooms we can work with, others aren't fit for conversion.

  • Send us an email at hello@glenandeffie.com with images of the front, sides, and back of your ring. From there we'll be able to get an idea if we can work with your ring.

  • Located across the country? We can email you a pre-paid insured shipping label to safely get your heirloom to us to be transformed. If you're local to our Nashville showroom, you're welcome to drop in and leave your heirloom with us to be transformed.

  • The creation process will take around 1-2 weeks from approved transformation to the finished, end result. Keep in mind this time frame does not include the initial contact and communication ahead of time.

   FAQ

How do I reach out to you about starting the process?
Simply fill out a message through our CONTACT page, let us know what you have to work with, if you prefer to meet in person or virtually, and we'll be in touch with openings to schedule a consult via Zoom or in our Nashville Showroom!

How do consultations work?
Everything starts after we receive your initial email and schedule a consultation. During the consultation, we'll discuss your design ideas, preferences, and how you wear your jewelry to help aid in the best way to convert your ring.

How much do custom fine projects cost?
Our signet ring conversions start at $500 and go up from there depending on the ring design, how many pendants you want to create, additional materials needed, etc.

What do you do with the remaining pieces of the ring that aren't used?
We give all our clients the option to scrap their remaining unused settings and pieces toward their commission total. Clients are also welcome to keep the remaining, unused pieces.

Can I bring other gold jewelry to get a credit towards my commission?
Absolutely. We only give gold scrap credit for solid gold materials such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings or other fine jewelry pieces. We do not give credit for silver or gold plated materials. Many clients bring broken or unworn accessories to receive extra credit toward their commission total. However, we do not buy or give credit for gemstones.

I live across the country from your studio in Nashville, how would the commission process work virtually?
We love working with our clients from all over the States! We're always happy to schedule a phone or video call to start the design process. From there, you can ship your heirlooms to our studio or we can create an insured, pre-paid shipping label for you to wrap up your items and safely send our way.

Do you require payment upfront?
Once you approve your conversion, we require payment upfront to start the creation process.

Do you have chains I can purchase for these charms?
Yes! You can purchase one of our solid gold or gold filled chains. Those can be found on our website.
