Victorian shield and scrollwork brooch from the early 1900s hand-engraved with the date "1913" on the center of the shield. This pendant was originally made and sourced in England.

This necklace measures a standard 18” on a modern 14k gold filled chain, with the pendant measuring 0.75" in height.
THE HISTORY:
What happened in 1913? Ford's assembly line: Henry Ford's Highland Park, Michigan factory debuted the moving assembly line on December 1, 1913. This innovation revolutionized the mass production of automobiles. The first modern zipper: The first modern zipper was patented in 1913. It was a year of innovation following the Industrial Revolution that saw its boom from 1760 to 1840.
